The Unit

Clinical Equipment

Wards are equipped with state of the art medical equipment including:

  • BP monitoring
  • DASH monitors
  • Pulse oximetry
  • Marqette ECG machines
  • Syringe pumps
  • 24 hr blood pressure monitoring and ambulatory BP monitoring
  • Fully equiped resuscitation trolleys
  • GPS central clock system throughout the unit, synchronised with computer networks

MUSE/DASH

CCST has installed GE DASH 3000 Patient Monitors at each bedside, complete with DINAMAP NIBP, MASIMO pulse Oximetry and 12sl ECG analysis. ECG's are fed directly into a fully configured MUSE ECG management system, complete with enhanced interval editor measurement package, which offers compliance to FDA's 21CFA Part II regulations for submitting patient ECG information. ECGs can be electronically transmitted in XML or Hilltop format. 

Nurse call system

  • A state of the art electronic nurse call system which links patients to nurse stations
