About CCST
General information
A need was identified for a well designed and dedicated facility to perform Phase I and II pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies in healthy volunteer and patient populations.
Christchurch Clinical Studies Trust Limited (CCST) was established in Christchurch in 1999 and operates from the Pegasus Centre, 31 Tuam Street, Christchurch, New Zealand.
CCST provides world class research facilities and has the expertise to perform early Phase I and II studies for the pharmaceutical industry. Over many years, Christchurch doctors have been involved in a wide range of clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry.
Since the late 1990's CCST has become a major supplier of clinical trials to the industry.
Is CCST 'Site Certified' by a Regulatory Authority?
Medsafe administers an approval scheme for clinical trials under Section 30 of the Medicines Act 1981 and CCST was the first site in New Zealand to be approved and certified as a clinical trials site which has study participants in residence while clinical trial medicines are administered.
